Liposomes are versatile and sophisticated drug delivery systems, renowned for their amphiphilic nature and ability to target specific tissues or cells. As self-assembled lipid bilayer vesicles, they mimic natural cellular membranes, making them biocompatible and efficient carriers for a wide range of therapeutic agents. This new book, Liposomes: Amphiphilic Targeted Delivery, delves into the science, design, and applications of liposomal technology, offering an in-depth understanding and cutting-edge research findings and methodologies of their pivotal role in modern pharmaceutics.

The book begins with a comprehensive overview of liposomes, describing their discovery, structure, and classification. The book discusses targeted liposomal delivery to solid tumors, liposomal drug delivery systems for lung cancer treatment and other pulmonary issues, vaccine liposomal delivery system, ocular drug delivery, safety and toxicity assessment of liposomal formulations, ocular drug delivery with liposomal strategies, targeting metabolic disorders with liposomal strategies, cardiovascular applications of liposomal therapy, liposome-mediated DNA delivery, and more.

A resource guide on liposome-based formulations, this volume serves as a valuable reference for those studying liposomes or seeking additional material for classroom learning. Overall, the book offers a wealth of knowledge and practical insights, empowering readers to navigate the complexities of liposomal drug delivery with confidence and expertise.
