Ekta Dhariwal, PhD, earned her doctorate in history from the University of Kota on the subject “Women in Rajasthan: Awakening, Empowerment and Social Changes (1915–2016 AD). She is also working on her D.Litt. degree, focusing on “Infinite Aura of Jainism in Rajasthan.” The author had her eyes opened in the marvelous city of marble monument Taj Mahal, where she grasped the historical sensation and realized that kept under the protection and keen eyes of the male counterparts, a woman is pronounced to be safer, yet that safeguard has proved a bottleneck of a woman’s talent and creativity. Opting to be a social activist, Dr. Dhariwal has served various organizations, societies, and associations in different roles. She is an honorary consultant to many women’s organizations and NGOs in Rajasthan. She has participated in many national and international conferences and presented books that include Lineage Light (L2): Reminiscences of Rajput History, An Indian Blueprint: Stone Age Art, etc. Her research papers are titled “Because We Are Women,” “Is Girl Child Curse for Parents,” “Temple-No Bars Whether Men or Women,” “Modern Women Self-Guard Herself,” “Female: The Change Agent,” “Is Women’s Voice Remains Faint in Politics, Elders: Are a Boon,” “Covid-19: Ushering the Hope among Horror,” “Ancient Banking and Currency,” “From War Zones to People Home,“ “Food Freedom and Health in Jainism,” “Yoga and Dhyana in Jainism,” “Kalpvraksha: The Theory,” “The Female: Silver Lining in Jainism,” and “Mask: The Pandemic Control in Jainism and Influence of Jainism in Rajasthan.” She is the recipient of SUMITRA Women Entrepreneur Award. She has directed a documentary film of late Industrial Minister of Rajasthan, “Biography of Rikhab Chand Dhariwal.” Hoisting the flag of her NGO, Aksham Kalyan Sansthan, she has been nourishing the social aspirations in various fields. It is evident that she stepped into a revolutionary role by furnishing thousands of girls with sanitary napkins every month. In 2021, by virtue of her academic education, she has been nominated to the Board of Management at the University of Kota by the government of Rajasthan. She has been the only woman chairperson of sports at Kota University, which includes 200 affiliated colleges. She is also a member of the Rajasthan Medical Relief Society (RMRS), nominated by the government of Rajasthan itself. Her philosophical depth moved into being nominated as a member of the Kota Jain Association. As a President of her second NGO, the Dhariwal Sports Society, she has been actively organizing various tournaments to foster new talent in Kota (Rajasthan). Apart from this, her ultimate passion is to strive to help the female population of society to become self-dependent, especially in Rajasthan, India.

Shruti Arora, PhD

Shruti Arora, PhD is currently working as a guest faculty in the Department of Commerce and Management, University of Kota, Kota, Rajasthan, India. She has 13 years of experience in the education industry. Her core subjects are marketing, general management, international business management, and customer relationship management. She has attended various international conferences. Her publications include various chapters in edited books published by Routledge, Emerald, and Springer. Her research papers have been published in in national and international UGC-approved and peer-reviewed journals. She has authored the book Event Management and Marketing: Theory, Practical Approaches and Planning Event Tourism in Asian Countries: Challenges and Prospects (Apple Academic Press/CRC Press, as well as a book with NOVA Science Publishers, USA. She described the term “Food Walk Tourism” in the Encyclopedia of Tourism Management and Marketing, edited by Dimitrios Buhalis, published by Edward Elgar Publishing Limited.

Anukrati Sharma, PhD, is currently Associate Professor in the Faculty of Commerce and Management, University of Kota, Rajasthan, India. Her core subjects are tourism, strategic management, general management, and international business management. She has edited the book Tourism Opportunities and Ventures. She has also edited Maximizing Business Performance and Efficiency through Intelligent Systems, Sustainable Tourism Development: Futuristic Approaches; Tourism Events in Asia: Marketing and Development; and Destination Branding and Marketing: Strategies for Tourism Development. Currently, she is working on several other books. Dr. Sharma is a member of ten professional associations and has attended several national and international conferences where she has presented over 45 papers. She has been invited for many talks, lectures, and panel discussions by various universities, including the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka; Halal Tourism Congress at the Republic of Turkey; Kastamonu University, Turkey; Silk International University of Tourism, Uzbekistan; International Development Institute, Pokhara, Nepal; Aligarh Muslim University, India; etc. She has been invited by the Government of Rajasthan and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry to deliver a talk on agri-tourism. Dr. Sharma takes training sessions at Rajasthan Police Academy, Jaipur, on the topics such as change management, communication skills, gender discrimination, personality development, etc.

Azizul Hassan, PhD, is a member of the Tourism Consultants Network of the UK Tourism Society. His areas of research interest are technology-supported marketing for tourism and hospitality, immersive technology applications in the tourism and hospitality industry, technology-influenced marketing suggestions for sustainable tourism, and hospitality industry in developing countries. He authored over 100 articles and book chapters in leading tourism outlets. He is also part of the editorial team of 15 book projects from Routledge, Springer, CAB International, and Emerald Group Publishing Limited.
