This new book, AI and Technology Intervention in Promoting Tourism in Central Asia, sheds light on the rapid transformative impact of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, on the global tourism landscape. From a focused examination of the role of AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants in the tourism industry to chapters on market analysis and guest experiences, this volume delves into the multifaceted ways technology is reshaping visitor experiences, operational efficiencies, and national branding efforts.

The book navigates through critical themes such as the role of AI in marketing, marketing analysis and branding strategies on tourism competitiveness, and the personalizing of hotel guest experiences. It considers how smart cities foster smart tourism, such as by leveraging technology for more convenient, sustainable, and engaging visitor experiences. The book considers the role of AI in human resources management; the use of AI to create immersive, interactive, and personalized travel experiences; the use of AI in real-time tracking, timed ticketing, and dynamic pricing for tourist sites; and much more.

Responding to how tourism is under-studied in academic literature in the Central Asian context, this forward-looking volume explores cutting-edge AI technologies that are rewriting the script for tourism in this region. It serves as a timely and comprehensive guide for unlocking the immense tourism potential by leveraging the cutting-edge capabilities of artificial intelligence and other digital innovations.
