This important book, Advances in Waste Valorization: Technologies for Sustainable Resource Recovery, explores how innovative technologies are transforming waste from an environmental challenge into a valuable resource for sustainable development. As global concerns over climate change, resource depletion, and escalating waste generation intensify, the book presents waste valorization as a practical pathway toward a circular economy in which biomass, agricultural residues, food waste, industrial byproducts, and municipal waste become feedstocks for renewable fuels, chemicals, materials, and energy.

Drawing upon advances in catalysis, biotechnology, and emerging waste-conversion technologies, the volume examines the scientific principles and engineering strategies that underpin modern valorization processes. It highlights the growing role of disruptive technologies, bioethanol production, catalytic systems, and enzymatic and biological pathways while emphasizing the integration of these approaches into economically viable and environmentally responsible solutions. Throughout, the editors underscore the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in bridging theory and practice and moving innovations from the laboratory into industry and society.

Key Features:

  • Provides a comprehensive introduction to waste valorization and circular economy principles.
  • Explores emerging technologies for converting waste into fuels, chemicals, materials, and energy.
  • Describes catalytic, biological, and enzymatic approaches to sustainable resource recovery.
  • Highlights innovations that bridge scientific research with industrial application.
  • Examines the role of waste valorization in advancing renewable energy and long-term sustainability.
